A once-bustling steel mill in Buffalo, N.Y., closes its doors and leaves its employees out of work and out of prospects. Among the jobless is divorced steelworker Jerry, who's too proud to buss tables despite being more than two months behind on his child support payments and edging closer and closer to losing joint custody of his son. But when a company of professional male strippers comes to town and causes a delighted uproar among the community's womenfolk, Jerry hatches a plan to make some cash and divulges the dirty details to a motley assortment of other strapped steelworkers: a new and improved strip show starring "real men" – Jerry and his unemployed cohorts.
