It’s snowing in Park City and we have been standing in a long line at the Gateway Center to pick up our festival ticket package. The theme of this year’s festival is RE: and a blackboard in the Pass and Package office is filled with RE: words such as rebellion and revolt. At the very bottom, someone has written retard, which has been partially erased. The recycling theme is evident and when we get our tickets, we are given reusable green Nalgene bottles for water. Most festival venues have filling stations with filtered water and all have multiple recycling bins.
