Television Review: Mad Men's season finale, "Tomorrowland"

Let me get this straight, Matthew Weiner and Co. This is what we stuck around for? To find out that an overwhelming majority of the big events that took place this season (Anna dying kinda unexpectedly, Ida Blankenship dying very unexpectedly, Betty firing Carla unexpectedly after 10-plus years as her kids' nanny) were all leading up to just one moment, played out in Sunday night's finale? Arguably the best season yet of Mad Men was hurtling so helplessly and dysfunctionally toward this one great sigh of relief? This one momentous thing that was going to help bring the journey about Don's identity to an end?

And it was: "Will you marry me?"

Lame.
