Gullwing CD Release Bay area instrumental quintet Gullwing were recently guests on WMNF’s Grand National Championships program where host Alastair St. Hill let the boys — Dug Fender, Mirza Begovic, Nat Guy, Chris Steffens, Taylor Raynor — spread out and show off their sprawling brand of post-rock for listeners while also sharing some of their own favorite songs. On Friday, they celebrate the release of a new, 10-track full length, which will have fans buckled in from the first quiet moments of “Signals” to the very last eerie, ethereal moments of album closer “Endless Inlet.” Occult rockers Leviathan Cross open the show alongside ambient prog five piece Oceans Rise and guitarist Billy Mays III who brings his Infinite Third project to kick things off. Chainsmokers w/Kiiara Saturday Night Live fans know Louis CK does not like the Chainsmokers. Jolly Fuckers w/Stuntcock/Low Season/The Injuries In an email to CL, Tampa rock trio Jolly Fuckers say they’re not “natural hype guys.” That’s a-okay. Their new EP of sweaty pub-rock is rowdy enough to get even the oldest of crusty punks up on their feet and kind of close to the pit. Three Cents and a Cavity clocks in at just 15 minutes long, but there’s enough dingy fuzz and guitar crunch on it to get us through the summer. St (Fubar, St. Petersburg) INFO
