Less than two weeks after the Foo Fighters announced a Tampa Bay show, another revered and respected rock and roll outfit has booked its own date with local concertgoers.

Today, the Mahaffey Theater announced a May 2 show from Queens of the Stone Age. It's the first show from the Josh Homme-fronted rockers since a 2014 appearance in the same room that found the frontman kicking a stage invader off stage.

Tickets for the show — happening in support of the Queens' new Mark Ronson-produced LP, Villains — go on sale to the public on Friday, November 10, and will cost fans $39.50-$75. More information is available via local.cltampa.com.

The theater also announced the return of 19-time Grammy winner Tony Bennett (who just played the room in May). Tickets for that show happening on March 2 — where his daughter Antonia Bennett opens the show — go on sale December 17 at 10 a.m. EST.
