Something something Mondays, amirite?

FRIDAY, DEC. 9:

Florida Governor Rick Scott announced that mosquitoes are no longer transmitting the Zika virus in south Florida, meaning the most immediate and active danger to the state has reverted to once again being Florida Governor Rick Scott.

Three St. Pete waterways — Salt Creek, Lassing Park and Fossil Parkwere deemed unsafe due to unacceptably high levels of Enterococci bacteria. Enterococcus is "part of the normal intestinal flora" of humans, so, yeah, we're talkin' poopwater.

SATURDAY, DEC. 10:

This story seems less about "Grenade found inside oven in Bradenton mobile home park," and more about "Man attempts to blow up trailer, neighbor," but that's just me.

SUNDAY, DEC. 11:

The Bucs won their fifth straight, besting the Saints 16-11. It's the first time they've one five straight since… oh, let's just be mean and say "ever." (Actually, the last time was 2002, when they went to and won the Super Bowl.)

And finally, also in sportsball news, former Texas football coach Charlie Strong is the new head of the USF Bulls. This was in all the local news media yesterday, so I'm assuming some people want to know.
