They’re here…
Today, without much wait following an initial lineup two weeks ago, Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival announced it’s phase two lineup additions.
After last year’s phase two was dragged out until late January, festival organizers waited only weeks to dish out a second lineup of artists.
Headlining the second wave of artists is Snoop Dogg, who will lead the festival's third rendition of it’s “PoWow! Superjam” mashup performance. In previous years this distinction was held by Michael McDonald (2017) and Win Butler — whose band Arcade Fire headlined Okee 2018's initial artist announcement — so it will be interesting to see where Snoop (or is it Snoop Lion?) will take the collaboration.
Second on the list is fellow rapper Lil Dicky, who will make his second appearance at The Grove, as he performed on the Now stage in 2016. These two additions had been teased on social media by Okeechobee’s social team, who tweeted this screenshot from the music video of the two rapper’s collaboration song, “Professional Rapper.”

The other additions on phase two are just as eye-catching for the festival crowd. Trombone Shorty, Ski Mask the Slump God, and Liquid Stranger, who killed it at this year’s Suwannee Hulaween, are all acts with potential to easily climb the festival ladder in coming years.
Also added to the lineup were The Funky Meters, Smino, NoMBe, Berhana, Liquid Stranger, Opiuo, Chet Porter, Doreloe, Squnto B2B Boogie T, Thriftworks, Subtronics B2B Dirt Monkey, Johnny Oz, Viniloversus, Pearl and The Oysters, Vandana, Sky White Tiger, and Kamalata.
While old-heads will complain that phase two didn’t bring the fabled “legacy” acts, such as past acts like Robert Plant and Hall & Oates, it shows Okeechobee’s direction to appeal towards a younger crowd.
GA tickets start at $269, and the Enternal Sunshine VIP experience will cost $699 before taxes and fees. Details on tickets and camping passes are available via okeechobeefest.com. The full lineup is available below. Read our reviews of Okee 2017 and 2016.
