To his right, second-place finisher Sora Shirai stands on the "2ND" block, and to the left, Angelo Caro stands on the "3RD" block in a white shirt. Sprays of water or champagne fill the air as the crowd cheers in the background.

The Skatepark of Tampa’s 32nd annual Tampa Pro kicks off this week—but athletes like Felipe Gustavo, Jamie Foy, and Zion Wright aren’t the only draws.

There’s a comedy show at the park on Thursday, with a book launch and afterparties scheduled for The Bricks in Ybor City on Saturday and Sunday, following chaotic special contests for best trick and the concrete jam.

A concert from BLP Kosher will punctuate the weekend’s entertainment. The Florida-reared Jewish rapper and skateboarder born Benjamin Landy Pavlon is not shy about mentioning his faith in lyrics (his 2022 album is titled BLP Kosher and the Magic Dreidel for chrissake). And if a 2025 video with fellow Floridian Soundcloud rapper 1900Rugrat is any indication, this show could be pure chaos.

The tournament wraps on Sunday with semifinals and finals happening at noon and 3 p.m., respectively.

Admission prices vary for events at the Skatepark of Tampa’s Tampa Pro tournament happening today through Sunday, April 12.
