Comedian, podcaster and current talk show host Adam Friedland brings his “dirtbag left” style of comedy to Tampa this spring.

The 39-year-old is arguably best known for his work on the popular and incredibly absurd podcast Cum Town with fellow co-hosts Stavros Halkias and Nick Mullen. The podcast ended in 2022, but his latest project, The Adam Friedland Show, is essentially a continuation of that anti-humor ethos, but in a classic and purposefully awkward talk show format.

The weekly YouTube show features well-known celebrities and politicians and often finds Friedland getting them to answer increasingly uncomfortable questions, like when he asked Blake Griffin which N.B.A. players are Republicans, or when he grilled Gen Z political influencer Harry Sisson about his affiliation with establishment Dems. “You don’t tweet like a 22-year-old,” said Friedland. “You tweet like a D.C. comms person. “

However, for this Tampa stop, Friedland will be in stand-up mode, performing two sets a night at Side Splitters Comedy Club in Carrollwood later this month.

Tickets to see Adam Friedland play Side Splitters in Tampa on Friday-Saturday, April 17-18 are still available and start at $30.
