‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ favorite Jewels Sparkles comes to St. Petersburg on Friday

Bay area fans of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” can get a taste of Jewels Sparkles’ leche this weekend at Cocktail.

The Tampa queen will be at The St. Pete bar on Friday, Jan. 31 for a watch party of the show’s latest episode, hosted by Discord Addams. Sparkles will perform, spill some tea and do meet and greets.

Sparkles, proudly Cuban-Puerto Rican, has been true to her name on the 17th season of “Drag Race.” For this week’s episode, she and the other queens perform in RDR Live (reminiscent of a popular Saturday night sketch show).

You can watch the 8 p.m. show poolside at Cocktail’s Wetspot every Friday. The bar offers 2-for-1 drinks until 9 p.m., and $5 fireballs the rest of the night.

Fans can purchase a $25 meet and greet along with other viewing spot upgrades via cocktailstpete.com.
