Oxyphenbutazoneime. That's a 1,778 point Scrabble word, the highest-pointing word ever (if you use the American Scrabble Dictionary). Theoretically, of course: No one's ever actually played this word (and you need a buncha double and triple word and letter squares and also for the stars to align to make it happen). But Sunday is your chance at Scrabble greatness, 'cause the Bryan Glazer Family Jewish Community Center's hosting a three-hour Scrabble extravaganza, complete with snacks (to keep your brain nourished) and prizes. Before you dust off that empty spot in your trophy case, slow it down there, word master — this isn't an official tournament. It's for fun. So, no flipping the board when your opponent plays "quizify" (419 points).
