Roger Ross Williams’ documentary travels to the East Central Africa nation, where former President Dubya and a throng of Christian right-wingers have exerted a gradual, lucrative and lethal influence on Uganda’s legislation — and the minds and hearts of its people, many of whom will take the law into their own hands. Scenes range from a seemingly harmless powwow of squeaky-clean college-age American missionaries singing Jesus songs to fiery sermons with graphic slideshows. Williams’ unsettling and beautifully shot doc reveals with building momentum and a deft show-don’t-tell approach how hate-fueled dogma has dominated Uganda. Mon. Oct. 7, Muvico Baywalk, 6:30 p.m.
