In 2022, it seems that the least problematic pop punk bands are the ones that haven’t reached superstar status. One of those bands without a history of sexual harassment accusations against it (lookin’ at you, All Time Low, Bright Eyes, etc.) is Gainesville’s Articles, which is playing St. Petersburg on Friday.
The outfit describes itself as a band that “plays songs that sound like you just worked a 40-hour week and want to cry into $5 margaritas.” St. Pete favorites Spanish Needles and Walled City—which is also playing Tampa’s Hooch and Hive on Saturday— open the show.
