Drinking whiskey for a good cause is the best kind of whiskey.
Whiskey Tampa Foxtrot is giving you the opportunity to sample over 200 different whiskeys and bites at their 3rd Annual Whiskey Tasting.
Hosted by Bern’s Steak House and Haven, the booze-centered event will take place at the Epicurean Hotel on November 6 - 9, and proceeds benefit Operation First Response, Jackson In Action 83 Foundation, and Southeastern Guide Dogs through the Laxer Family Foundation. This year's main sponsor is Woodford Reserve.
Now in its third year, the event has added a few new additions, like the “Whiskey & Chocolate Lounge,” and a “Women in Whiskey” event that will celebrate the ladies who have helped propel the industry forward.
Of course, you can also expect live music, cigar rolling station, seated dining and an interactive course on mixology that we’re sure you’ll put to good use.
The event was a 2019 Best of The Bay winner, and a favorite of Creative Loafing food critic Jon Palmer Claridge. “Imagine that you are thrust into a multi-story display with 50 tables offering 230+ of the worlds great whisk(e)ys,” says Claridge.
“You’re given your own Maker’s Mark specialty tasting glass and access to unlimited bottles of chilled Acqua Panna spring water from Tuscany. To assure there’s a chance for sobriety, six of the Bay Area’s best restaurants are serving a duo of tempting gastronomic treats each. Do you take the haute road of aged Delmonico, lobster and foie gras or the opt for the lure of ribs, wings, conch fritters and hoppin’ John? Just how many drams can you taste in an afternoon and still walk away?”
General admission tickets start at $95 per person, with the option to purchase different event seating.
