Bringing a revamped menu and lineup of events to downtown Tampa's recently renamed L'Eden Café & Bar, new owner and Paris native Priscilla Vincent says she wants to refresh the cozy French bistro that former chef Gerard Jamgotchian established in 2007.

With an expanded medley of healthful and classic French cuisine, as well as imported wine and Champagne, the trendier, indoor-outdoor L'Eden will celebrate its grand reopening at 500 N. Tampa St. Friday, Sept. 18.

"I've always been passionate about making traditional recipes healthier with a modern flavor," Vincent said in a new release. "That way, we can encourage healthy eating habits while taking them on an international tour of foods and wines."

Vincent left France for Tampa Bay in May after earning her master's in International Entrepreneurship and Leadership from Paris' American Business School. That same month, Jamgotchian turned ownership of L'Eden over to Vincent to spend more time with family, according to the release.

During dinner on reopening day, the restaurant plans to offer a three-course meal with wine pairings and tastings. Weekly happy hours, language lessons and live music will also be featured down the road, incorporating more French influence into downtown.

Breakfast items are served 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday, while lunch runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. L'Eden's dinner hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
