
The biggest 2018 music news stories in Tampa Bay were about shows that didn’t happen.
Travis Scott’s since-rescheduled Amalie Arena show reigned supreme in our year-end look at Creative Loafing Tampa’s most-visited music stories, but a canceled show from Lauryn Hill was close behind.
Cheap tickets to Live Nation shows were of great interest to our readers, and so were festivals (Hulaween, Scott’s Astroworld festival in Houston) plus that Thanksgiving Day concert from YoungBoy NBA.
There was some hope for appreciation of the local scene, however, as our Music Issue highlighting the best young musicians in Tampa Bay also made the cut along with news of the end for long-running St. Petersburg venue Fubar.
