Lo-fi, feel-good pop comes to The Bends in the form of up-and-coming Motor City songwriter Ian Ruhala, who releases infectious bedroom rock under the Hala moniker. Start with a brand new single — “Sorry,” released less than two weeks ago — and then reach deep into a discography that dates all the way back to a charming 2015 live album recorded at underground Detroit live music venue The Old Miami. Dreamy Los Angeles songwriter Boyo (aka Robert Tilden) opens this show, which doesn’t have a cover charge.
