Reading the front page headlines can make you feel hopeless. Here’s a reminder that there are still good people out there. A couple of handfuls of tried-and-true Tampa punks (plus deep-thinking Americana acts Will Quinlan and Band of Sorrows) have teamed up with Tampa music scene lifer Lauren Billington to throw a house show where proceeds will be donated to the ACLU, which is fighting to reunite families torn apart by President Dingus’ immigration policies. The address is secret, but you should support these bands if you see them on another bill another week. If you do make it out to the show, then bring ice (cubes, not that ICE), chairs and bug spray.
