It’s been about two weeks since FKJ played Orpheum, and now another Parisian producer is headed to historic Ybor City. This time it’s James Kent, better known as Perturbator, who wrestles with a synth-driven cyber-punk sound that’s evolved into something less dystopian and more post-punk on a recent single “Excess.” The song will play into this rare Florida stop at Orpheum where a fellow synthwave scene staple, Gost, opens the show.
