Hurricane season starts on June 1, but hurricane preseason is apparently right now (hi, Alberto!)

That's not great news for music fans hoping to check out a trio of music festivals this weekend, but organizers for Sunset Music Festival, 97X Barbecue and Margarita Fest aren't playing the fool and ignoring the forecast. With that in mind, those fests have shared some of their thoughts on the potential for bad weather over the Memorial Day weekend.

There are also plenty of indoor concerts happening this weekend, too. Visit cltampa.com/musicweek for the rundown.

Sunset Music Festival (May 26-27 at the North Lot of Raymond James Stadium, Tampa) Sunset's inclement weather plan has been pretty impressive in the past (the festival ensured the safety of patrons by quickly moving them undercover when storms rolled in in 2014 and 2015), and we'd expect nothing less this year. Follow SMF on Twitter and Instagram for the latest.

97X Barbecue Music and Arts Festival (May 26 at Vinoy Park, St. Petersburg) Vinoy Park's proximity to the water makes it a gorgeous place to catch a concert, but it'll be a pain this weekend if heavy rain starts to roll in. Our friends at the Tampa Bay Times say that alt-rock station will be working with St. Petersburg city and fire officials the day of the event to make any decisions about evacuations. "Updates will be posted to 97X's social media accounts," they wrote, "The 97X app, which has set times and other details, also has a weather section with radar." Follow 97X on Twitter and Instagram.

Tampa Bay Margarita Festival (May 26-27 at Curtis Hixon Park, Tampa) Like Sunset, this Bay area celebration of the sweet and salty tequila treat has successfully evacuated folks before, and organizers are working with the city and National Weather Service in keeping an eye on conditions. Margarita Festival is also having some fun with the whole thing, too. "Depending on where you look, there may be 60-70 percent chance of rain this weekend," organizers wrote on Facebook, "but that cant beat our 100-percent chance of Margaritas! " Stay tuned to the festival's Facebook event page for updates.
