Famed American folk songwriters James Taylor and Jackson Browne are playing a Tampa concert together this fall, although I’m not sure if there’s an AARP discount.
In all seriousness, the bill brings together two of the biggest names in American folk music. Taylor, 73, last played Amalie in 2018, and Creative Loafing Tampa Bay last caught the 72-year-old Browne—a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee—the same year.
Other Florida stops on the Taylor-Browne tour include Sunrise (BB&T Center, Nov. 10), Jacksonville (VyStar Arena, Nov. 13) and Orlando (Nov. 14, Amway Center).
Support local journalism in these crazy days. Our small but mighty team works tirelessly to share music news, events and concert announcements as the Tampa Bay music scene recovers from coronavirus shutdowns.
