Iska Dhaaf w/Someday River Last month, bi-coastal indie-pop duo Iska Dhaaf played a rowdy set to open the mainstage at Seattle’s massive Bumbershoot Festival. Orlando dream-pop boogie makers Someday River open this early show (7 p.m.) where a $5 donation for the band’s gas tank is being collected. (Microgroove, Tampa) INFO

After the departure of two founding members, guitarist and singer Sherri DuPree-Bemis went ahead and stepped front and center. The Texas five-piece have a new LP due next year, but for now you'll have to settle for a pretty pop tune, "Defeatist," below. (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO
