We’ll go ahead and stop short of calling his music emo-EDM, but Ray Volpe is opening up on a new EP, All Emotion Allowed, which finds the “friendly neighborhood sad dubstep boy” going even softer with his lyrics and more atmospheric on the sonic aesthetics. Volpe can still wub, however, and you’ll prbably see some kids headbanging at The Ritz Ybor if he drops his new latest singe, “Purpose,” at this gig.
Fans of more outward musicianship (Timmy Trumpet, playing Shephard’s) and actual DJ-ing (Michelle Pesce, playing Crowbar’s Ol’ Dirty Sundays) might want to wait until Sunday to head out for a party — details on those shows below.
