✔️CeCe Teneal and Soul Kamotion w/Ari Chi CeCe Teneal has earned much-deserved attention on the strength of recent performances at Aretha Franklin tributes, but the Orlando soul powerhouse deserves to be known for the way she and her band — Soul Kamotion, built around the core of bassist Terrell Kimble, guitarist Lavon Rushing and keyboardist Chris Baptiste — are trying to blow doors off of venues in support of its debut LP #5or5000, released this summer. Fans of Motown or church are going to want have their souls stirred at this listening room show being staged by community radio station WMNF. (The Attic at Rock Brothers Brewing, Ybor City) INFO

✔️ Diana Ross Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams is under the microscope for her role playing Diana Ross in BET’s upcoming 1970s-era series American Soul, but this is a chance to see the actual soul and R&B legend reign supreme in real life. You can’t hurry love, but you can giddy up and get a ticket to the show before it sells out. (Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater) INFO

✔️ Mineral w/Tancred/Pohgoh/UNFUN DJs Mineral just released “Your Body Is the World,” the second of two new songs which represent the Texas rock outfit’s first new music since its breakup in 1997. Frontman Chris Simpson recently told CL that fans probably shouldn’t expect any additional new music, but there’ll be plenty to celebrate on Friday when Mineral leans into a world tour for which Tampa emo band Pohgoh opens four dates. Read our full Q&A with Simpson, and make plans to stay out late, too, since Simpson & Co. will be DJ-ing at an Emo Night afterparty happening at The Bricks just a few blocks away. ✔️ German Brigante w/Brian Busto DJs and dancers both love German Brigante, and the Spaniard will spin for his fans in the belly of long-running Ybor City nightclub The Castle at this Friday-night show where exotic house tunes like Brigante’s 2018 single ‘‘Indira Gandhi’’ will ring out after Serious Soul resident Brian Busto warms things up. (The Castle, Ybor City) RESCHEDULED

Stillhouse Shakers w/Vaden Landers Band/Zoe Speaks Vaden Landers visits from North Carolina with his band’s ragtime and jazz-influenced Americana in hand. They’ll be joined by Bay area roots trio The Stillhouse Shakers, making for a night of old-time music that harkens back to old Appalachia. (Lakewood United Church of Christ, St. Petersburg) INFO

Muscadine Bloodline Wondering where those more middle-of-the-road country music fans might be? Try the Dallas Bull, where groups like Muscadine Bloodline go to cut their teeth before and between hopping on arena tours with some of Big Country’s brightest stars (read: Kip Moore, who is taking this Alabama duo with him on a few 2019 dates). (Dallas Bull, Tampa) INFO

Florida Orchestra Pops: Unforgettable: Nat & Natalie The first of three performances by the Florida Orchestra plus vocalists Denzal Sinclaire and Dee Daniels, who’ll all fall under the guidance of conductor Jeff Tyzik, who’s been tasked with leading this tribute to the legacy of both Nat King Cole and his daughter Natalie. St. Petersburg’s Mahaffey Theater stages two Saturday day shows after this Friday-night Tampa kick-off. (Carol Morsani Hall at David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa) INFO

✔️ Tim Barry w/Cory Branan/Dave Decker Like another Nashville songwriter in Music Week (Matt Woods), Cory Branan tends to be criminally overlooked by purported fans of country music. Branan, for his part, probably doesn’t mind. His latest, Adios (released in 2017), is much like many of his other four LPs: Wickedly witty, hyperdramatic and peppered with just enough punk-rock riffage to make you want to bleach your hair and then dye it pink. The storytelling is unforgettable, and while Branan can be overly cerebral at times, his co-headliner Tim Barry will be on hand to deliver the kind of blue-collar anthems you’ll want to scream along to. Local punk-rock survivor Dave Decker opens the show. (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO
