✔️ Pinky Doodle Poodle w/Prescribed Fire/Hi-Beam This intimate gig was announced relatively late in the game, but we’re willing to bet that diehard fans of Japanese rock duo Pinky Doodle Poodle have already scooped up most of the tickets to this record-store show where the band’s love for rock, punk, blues, funk and jazz from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s will get exorcised in support of the group’s new EP, Poodle Boogie. This is most certainly the WTF show of the week and one you may never actually get to see in a space this small ever again. (Editor's note: Apparently folks are not scooping these tickets up as quickly as we thought they would — what the heck is wrong with you people?) (Microgroove, Tampa) INFO

Il Divo The difference between Il Divo and pretty much everything else borne from reality-TV singing competitions? Mediocrity, or the lack of it. Unlike most of the stuff that Simon Cowell pulls out of the trash, this classical and pop crossover vocal group doesn’t suck. In fact, it actually shines. On Tuesday the quartet will support a new album of covers, Timeless, where it takes on classics by Elvis (“Love Me Tender”), Robbie Williams (“Angels”) and even Adele (“Hola,” which means “Hello” in Spanish, you dimwit). Helios Jazz Orchestra Presents: “License to Thrill” Spy music (think James Bond, Mission Impossible and even Austin Powers) gets the treatment when members of an expanded 21-piece Helios Jazz Orchestra joins singers Jamie Perlow, Andrea Manson, Sonja Spence and Ronnie Dee as the ensemble takes cues from conductor David Manson for a show that promises to be cheesy, silly and sublime, too. Special guests Gumbi Ortiz and John Shaw will provide an extra percussive punch to this big-band affair. (Hough Hall at Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg) INFO
