✔️ Curt Castle w/Gushing/Laundromat If you loved Athens, Georgia pop group Reptar, then you’re going to want to see Curt Castle. Songs from a forthcoming LP, If I’m Here At All, find ex-Reptar member Ryan Engelberger pivoting away from the frenetic pace of his old band without losing any of the beloved group’s warmth. What’s left are punchy songs like “Afraid Of the Lightning” and “Nightwalker,” which will please fans of both dream-pop and alt-rock alike. (Microgroove, Tampa) INFO

Struggle Jennings w/Around the Bonfire/Drop-D Yes, country-music purists: Waylon Jennings’ grandson is a rapper. His government name is Will Harness, but he records under the Struggle Jennings moniker, and he’ll be at Ferg’s sports bar and grill for this Hump Day concert in the courtyard. (Ferg’s, St. Petersburg) INFO

Shawn Colvin Sunny is coming to Clearwater. The Texas songwriter and author Shawn Colvin can still hang a hat on her breakthrough 1996 album, A Few Small Repairs, which is home to the 63-year-old’s musically bright, lyrically dark hit single “Sunny Came Home,” so expect to hear it and stuff from her 1989 debut, Steady On, which celebrates an anniversary in 2019. ✔️ Scott H. Biram w/Will Quinlan/Jack Sprouse There’s a dirty, old, one-man band playing Skipper’s and we’re not talking about Will Quinlan (just kidding, Will, we love you). Nope, that title belongs to metalhead turned bluesman and alt-country troubadour Scott H. Birham, who marries a shitload of twang with Lemmy-levels of hard-rock absurdity to great effect. We’d stop short of calling him an American legend, but this country wouldn’t be as great as it is if Birham wasn’t in it. (Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tampa) INFO
