Tampa guitarist and songwriter John Wesley is getting some national love in advance of his new album, a way you'll never be, which is set for release on October 7 via InsideOutMusic.

Last year, CL profiled Wesley, 54, as part of our Music Issue examining the different recording studios operating in Tampa Bay.

“This song sets the tone as a good representation of the style of music and sound for this album,” Wesley told Guitar World. “It also opens the door lyrically to introduce the concept of the album, which is my interpretation of the parallels between my favorite author, Ernest Hemingway’s "Lost Generation" and what I perceive to be our own modern day version of a lost generation."

What CL wants to know is why the hell he didn't capitalize anything in the song title.

"On this album…. As I was writing out the lyrics… Caps seemed to interrupt the flow of the poetry," Wesley told CL in a message. "There are so many layers in the lyrics that caps seemed to change or solidify emphasis. It was an extremely personal decision … But once I looked at the title and words in that format… There was flow."
