A few years ago, Olivia Gatwood saw Ari Chi busking on the streets of Ybor City. In June, the fiery slam poet and author re-discovered the Tampa songwriter when someone posted a story of Ari Chi performing at SoHo House in New York. Next month, Gatwood is taking her on a 21-city tour that starts and ends in California with dates in the Southwest, South, Northeast, Midwest and Canada sandwiched in between.

Before that, Ari Chi will celebrate the two-year anniversary of her Art Raffle party where two handfuls of visual artists will show and sell while Ms. Chi — along with electro-pop producer Gamby, rapper Crown Marquiss and a band unknown to CL, Dog Park — provide the tunes.

Art Raffle Anniversary w/Gamby/Ari Chi/Crown Marquiss/Dog Park/Wally Clark. Fri. Aug 23, 7 p.m. $5. The Attic Café, Tampa. INFO.
