In February 1976, Bob Dylan topped Billboard’s pop albums chart with his 17th album, Desire, which held the no. 1 spot for five straight weeks. The album wound up being one of the best-selling of Dylan’s entire career and was released between the two legs of Dylan’s landmark tour, The Rolling Thunder Revue (which stopped at the Lakeland Civic Center).

Martin Scorsese’s documentary captures the magic of that tour — and period of American history — on film. You only get one chance to see it on the local big screen.

Tues., June 11. Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin St., Tampa. 7:30 p.m. tampatheatre.org.
