Debt Neglector w/Awkward Age/Weak Knees Anxiety, depression and paranoia are just some of the sunny topics that get addressed on Atomicland, the new album from Orlando’s Debt Neglector, which plays aggressive, melodic and catchy punk for fans of of the Descendents, Dead To Me and New Mexican Disaster Squad. The boys — Goldfarb Chris Pfister, Chris Kretzer and Zach Anderson — are joined by the Bay area’s own Awkward Age on this bill along with Weak Knees whose lone Bandcamp song (“Song Number Two,” posted in January) belongs on a cassette we play over and over again at full volume while speeding across the Courtney Campbell. (The Bends, St. Petersburg) INFO

Kid at He(ART) w/Wally Clark What does it look like when rappers make visual art? Why don’t you ask Kay Pots and Sam E Hues, two Tampa emcees punching in as different kinds of artists for this shindig going down at Creative Loafing Tampa’s home base. Curated by Bay area art collective He(ART), this party features DJ Wally Clark on sounds and work from the likes of Cory Robinson, Sebastian Coolidge and Milli Misa. (CL Space, Ybor City) INFO

Vibes of the Bay w/The Real Clash/DEA & Saint/Sonic Graffiti/Mouth Council/FayRoy/WD Han/Samurai Shotgun/Fr33DBack/more Symphonic Distribution is moving its Wesley Chapel headquarters into downtown Tampa, and if there were any more questions about the digital music distribution company’s commitment to its hometown, then look no further than the handbill for its 2017 edition of Vibes of the Bay. The one-day music and art festival features two handfuls of locally-grown talent (this year’s entire  lineup features artists that have appeared on the pages of CL) taking over two stages (indoor and courtyard) for an eclectic party that is free with an RSVP or $10 at the door. Visit vibesofthebay.com for more information. (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO

Beerwolf w/The Electric Mud/SAHE/Leviathan Cross Fort Myers Southern rock and roll traditionalists drive up for a show alongside three of the area’s heaviest bands. Nobody is trying to reinvent the wheel in the Electric Mud camp; in fact, all the boys want to actually do is spread “[their] gospel north of the Mason-Dixon and beyond.” (Fubar, St. Petersburg) INFO

Vacuous Depths w/SPIT/Goregäng/Feeding It’s a mini-death metal, gore and powerviolence festival when downtown Tampa dive host some of the heaviest bands from Tampa (Vacuous Depths, SPIT), Spring Hill (Goregäng) and Tallahassee (Feeding). Bring earplugs and make sure your liver is strong, too. (The Hub, Tampa) INFO

WMNF Americana Fest w/Girls, Guns and Glory/The Hummingbirds/Band of Sorrows and Will Quinlan/Kristopher James/Oak Hill Drifters/ Cottondale Swamp/Mercy McCoy/Flow Sisters/Will Erickson A “modern-day Buddy Holly plus Dwight Yoakam divided by the Mavericks.” That’s a hell of a way to be introduced, and that’s exactly what Rolling Stone wrote when it described Girls, Guns and Glory — Ward Hayden’s group of rock, blues and country music lovers. The Boston-based outfit leads the way at WMNF’s day-long tribute to Americana, and highlights on the bill include a set from St. Pete crooner Kristopher James plus a performance from Tampa outlaw country group Band of Sorrows who’ll be joined by Bay area songwriting gem Will Quinlan. Pon Site w/DJ Blenda/Bobby Zion/V.S.O.P. Long-running Bay area selector DJ Blenda will gwan it out for Pon Site, his own “night of nuff niceness” devoted to nothing but the most happening ska, dub, digi, roots, rock and lovers rock tunes all played on vinyl. Tampa catering company Jam Dish will be onsite with Jamaican food to help you eat clean and get even deeper into the spirit at this Lowry Park area craft beer watering hole. (C.1949 Florida Beer Garden, Tampa) INFO

Blizzie Castro Album Release w/Chris Jackson/Jamez Anthony/DOD/J-Smoove/more Aramis Jamison (aka Blizzie Castro) rounds up a collective of Bay emcees for a late night celebration of a new album that collects the musicality of his childhood (he played saxophone before moving north and getting into hip hop) and mixes it in with an sound that’s a blend of southern beats and the east coast rhymes Castro heard during a brief stint in New Jersey. (Pegasus Lounge, Tampa) INFO

Oxford Noland w/The Jackettes/Oxmoore St. Pete indie rock band Oxford Noland is in the midst of its latest sonic evolution, and the band — built around guitarist Shua Harrell and drummer/keyboardist Aaron Buckingham — is letting fans inside (of Green Bench Brewing Co. that is) for a non-beer garden show with soul-pop merrymakers The Jackettes and a new-ish Tampa rock trio Oxmoore which owes a lot of its sound to the to work bands like Foo Fighters, Nirvana and Cage The Elephant all did in the alternative rock arena. (Green Bench Brewing Co., St. Petersburg) INFO

Brewhouse Session No. 3 w/Leviathan Cross/The Path of Increased Indifference/Aaron Hollingsworth Local music and beer nerds uninterested in driving to St. Pete for the Green Bench show should make plans to be at Tampa Heights' Hidden Springs Ale Works. Instrumental outfit SPAR will work through its super-heavy stoner rock (seriously, listen to the just released “When Words Fail”), and Aaron Hollingsworth (bassist for Tampa deathcore quintet Chlover and metal quartet Must Not Kill) performs solo acoustic bass compositions. The real kicker at this one is the inclusion of noisecore trio The Path of Increased Indifference (Pii) which actually features Tampa Bay Brewing Company head brewer Tim Ogden on vocals for songs like “Waiting For Skynet.” (Hidden Springs Ale Works, Tampa) INFO

GreyMarket w/Empire Cinema/The Urbane Cowboys Old school Tampa music fans will like the look of this bill which finds comparative local newcomers Empire Cinema propped in between whiskey swillin’, shit-kickin’ “y’allternative” Americana band Urbane Cowboys and future-sound crafting rock duo Greymarket. This is presumably the last New World Brewery show for all three of these bands (the iconic venue says goodbye to its Ybor location with one last show on September 23), so expect some feelings to come spilling out of members after the suds get flowing. (New World Brewery, Ybor City) INFO
