Yes featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman Nearly any lineup of Yes is interesting to fans of the revered prog-rock giant, and this one (formerly known as ARW) should put asses in the seats at Ruth Eckerd. Sure, Steve Howe currently leads another lineup of Yes that includes longtime member Alan White, but Yes boasts one of the most loyal fanbases in modern music history and having founding member Jon Anderson in the lineup is a major plus. ✔️  Chris Thile Garrison Keillor’s shoes were a mighty big pair to fill, but mandolin player Chris Thile has done a good job so far on A Prairie Home Companion. The 36-year-old may be the favorite part of every NPR lifer’s Saturday morning (let’s face it — that show screams privilege), but he was once a child prodigy that released a debut LP at the age of 13 on the way to electrifying American string music with groups like Nickel Creek and the Punch Brothers. Expect a potent mando-cocktail of all Thile’s talents at this one. (David A. Straz Center for Performing Arts, Tampa) INFO

✔️  J. Roddy Walston & The Business w/Sleepwalkers Three years of touring behind an album can take its toll on a band, so J. Roddy Walston & The Business pumped the brakes once the road ended on a jaunt spent playing songs from 2013’s Essential Tremors. The rock and roll group, which turns the fire of Jerry Lee Lewis into a modern amalgamation of Southern rock, pop and even soul, isolated itself to write a new record (Destroyers of the Soft Life, released last Friday), and now Walston & Co. are back in small clubs sharing it with fans. Not sure if Crowbar can contain the bombastic boogie and arena-ready rock on the effort, but a packed house will surely be ready to find out. (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO

Judah & the Lion There are bands that never come to Florida, and then there's Nashville, Tennessee’s Judah and the Lion, who make our scene with regularity. In the last year we’ve seen Judah Akers & bandmates at 97X’s Next Big Thing and hitting arenas or sheds to open for bands like Twenty One Pilots and Jimmy Eat World on separate occasions. On Wednesday the folk-rockers headline the much smaller State Theatre in St. Pete in support of last year’s Folk Hop ‘N’ Roll Deluxe. (State Theatre, St. Petersburg) INFO
