BBQ Wednesday Acoustic Series with Garrett Klahn & The Burke Bros. For this special edition of the barbecue n’ acoustic tunes series, folk rock purveying Burke brothers Matt (vocals, guitar, harmonica) and Daniel (bass, vocals) of Have Gun Will Travel are joined by special guest Garrett Klahn, the former frontman of emo/post-hardcore outfit Texas Is the Reason who’s currently doing the solo singer-songwriter thing and touring behind his “I Don't Care At All” 7-inch debut on Rise Records. Twitching Tongues with Harm's Way, Malice at the Palace LA’s moody, grooving underground metal act Twitching Tongues have been catching a hard buzz since delivering third full-length Disharmony last month, songs like the darkly ominous drama-hawking "Sacrifice Me" dedicated to those “constantly affected by the negative actions of others growing up: the freaks, the nerds, the outcasts, the bullied. Always fight back. 'They deserve every second of pain.'" Also performing: Harm’s Way, spewing hardcore sounds out of Chicago since 2006 and on the road behind their own 2015 third LP, Rust. The Wonder Years with Motion City Soundtrack, State Champs, You Blew It! Two alt rock bands that have heavy emo and pop-punk persuasions and are virtual Warped Tour darlings team up for this run of dates behind respective 2015 LPs – Pennsylvania six-piece The Wonder Years (No Closer to Heaven, their fifth), and Minneapolis quintet Motion City Soundtrack (Panic Stations, their sixth). QYK Guitar Pull with Hunter Hayes, Lee Brice & others Tampa Bay country station WQYK-FM touts this night of intimate solo performances as “Just the stars and their guitars,” with big-name twang-pushing talents like Lee Brice and Lady Antebellum frontman Charles Kelley joining emerging Nashville upstarts Hunter Hayes, Eric Paslay, Maddie and Tae and Jerrod Niemann.
