SNBRN The party continues. Headlining this weekend’s edition of Beach House Sundays at Shephard’s Resort is SNBRN. The LA based producer and DJ is a perfect fit for the tiki stage, as he looks to bring his funky, beachy house production to Clearwater’s Pass. Tickets are cheap if you snag them early, with free list spots available while supplies last. More information is at shephards.com (Beach House Sundays at Shephard’s, Clearwater Beach) —LJ INFO

Carter King & Daniel Womack This is just one of two great house shows happening in the Bay area this weekend (the first belongs to Tampa songwriter Will Quinlan who plays in Pasadena on July 8). The only thing is you’ll need advance tickets if you want to see two-fifth of Athens, Georgia psych-rock legends Futurebirds play a stripped-down, intimate house show just two weeks after the band headlined Athfest 2017. This isn’t a humble brag on behalf of everyone going, but a gentle reminder that you should always try to become BFFs with that neighbor that has much better taste in music than you do. Derek Webb w/Fistful/Preson Phillips New World Brewery is kind of like a church for a lot of people, so it makes sense that Derek Webb, who first made waves as member of Caedmon’s Call before starting a successful solo career that includes several Christian radio hits and at least one GMA Dove Award, would headline the room. The difference between Webb, 43, and so many of the God-fearing dudes telling you to fear God from the pulpit? Authenticity. Yes, that’s right, Joel Olsteen feels like a fraud, but Webb — who posted a crazy-candid open letter regarding his divorce from Sandra McCracken — isn’t afraid to be the imperfect person he eerily sings about on his prophetic 2013 LP, I Was Wrong, I'm Sorry & I Love You. Lauren Alaina Reality TV fans who are feigning for American Idol before its (unfortunate) reboot in 2018 are in luck. With the purchase of a ticket for the Sunday matinee matchup between the Rays and Red Sox, fans will also be treated to a concert by Idol alum Lauren Alaina. In the show’s 10th season, Lauren captivated viewers at home, and particularly judge Steven Tyler, with her southern charm and breathtaking vocals. While she finished runner-up in that season, she has made her home in country music. Fans at the Trop will get the chance to hear her latest album The Road Less Traveled and it’s title track, which spawned her first no.1 hit. King Most w/DJ Fader/DJ Casper Patrick Diaz ‚ aka King Most, is a DJ and producer who knows his way around everything from The Clash to Frank Ocean and even Al Green (seriously, listen to what he did with “Simply Beautiful”). Expect him to dip into all of that for this Ol’ Dirty Sundays appearance where we hope the King’s love of disco also permeates a playlist that normally leans on old school hip-hop, R&B, soul and reggae.
