If you’re an EDM fan looking for a New Year's Eve party, Ybor City has you covered.

The Ritz—which makes ticket buyers awknowledge a COVID-19 waiver to attend shows—has a sold-out gig from Canadian Adventure Club, and Tampa Bay promoter Disco Lemonade has two mask-required shows happening on opposite ends of the district.

The first Disco Lemonade show finds hard-rocker-turned Dirtybird favorite house producer Dipzy playing a set at the Attic (149 cap upstairs according to the Fire Marshal) and the other is a temperatures-taken-at-the-door Orpheum show headlined by saxophone-playing bass maniac Ehren Wright (aka SoDown).

Tampa promoter FWD Thinkers told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that it pulled out of the SoDown show when new Hillsborough County dancefloor restrictions were enacted two weeks ago.

A rep for Disco Lemonade did not tell CL how many tickets they would sell for each event before calling the shows sold-out, or how it would adapt to the county’s new dancefloor restriction, but did say that, “We have been working around the clock to create a safe environment at both locations for these NYE events while following COVID-19 / CDC guidelines. Keeping the safety of our patrons, staff and artists are our top priority.”

“Once again the bulk of our focus is to support local venues who have had a very tough year, while following all cdc guidelines regarding safety and social distancing,” Warren Blakemore wrote in an email. “We are creating a safe space for our patrons to come enjoy themselves while ringing in the New Year.”

See a list of safety protocols—including “social distance markers"—sent by Disco Lemonade to CL below.

  • Limited capacity at both events.
  • Additional tables and chairs at both venues, per the county mandate.
  • Music will begin early and our team will check in patrons quickly to avoid crowded lines. Social distancing markers will be in place outside.
  • Mandatory temperature check at the door.
  • Mandatory mask required with signage posted at the door. Masks will be provided for those arriving without one.
  • Enhanced security for continued mask checks inside the venue to ensure safety guidelines are followed
  • Continuous announcement reminders to keep masks coverings on at all times unless actively drinking.
  • Increased number of sanitation check points available throughout the venue
  • Limited capacity VIP, which includes upstairs access. This option would be great for those who want to feel more distanced from the rest of the crowd downstairs.
