Alex Sink poll numbers rising among independents, former NAACP head comes out against amendments 5&6, and are any Florida Democrats boasting about health care bill?Mitch Perry Report:10.12.10

Alex Sink and her supporters might be feeling good this morning, after a new Quinnipiac poll shows the Democrat now down by only 1% to Rick Scott;  A similar poll conducted two weeks ago had Scott up 6%.  It comes a day before Sink begins running a new ad in the Tampa market that lasts two minutes long in giving a quick greatest hits tour of some of his earlier business problems.

Well, 3 weeks to go in the campaign, and there aren't that many Democrats out on the stump touting the federal health care reform bill. Which is too bad, because if they believe in it, the campaign to support it will last beyond November 2.

Amendments 5 & 6 are supported by a lot of progressive groups, but the former head of the NAACP is not one such supporter.
