Another must-see music documentary at TIGLFF: Le Tigre on Tour

Led by feminist icon Kathleen Hanna (who also founded Bikini Kill), Le Tigre on Tour chronicles the trio on the rise from DIY inception to stardom. Candid interviews and hilarious behind-the-scenes footage make a great introduction to queer culture or serve as a nostalgia piece for longtime fans.

Screens Thurs., Oct 14, at 7:30 p.m. at Muvico Baywalk in St. Petersburg.

This year's Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival has been particularly strong in the music-documentary department, first with Riot Acts, and tonight with two must-see offerings: Rufus Wainwright: Prima Donna (see my profile of Wainwright here) and this documentary, Le Tigre on Tour.  Directed by Kerthy Fix, the film follows the queer band Le Tigre as they embark on their final tour in 2004.
