Square One Creative — a local networking, event-planning group that counts itself among the current leaders of Ybor City’s cultural revival — stages its next multimedia party at The Ritz Ybor: Virgin 2.0, a fundraiser in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Among the amusements are live classical and jazz music by Jamal Corrie, Marcy Hopp & Friends and All That Jazz, and a set by synth-pop purveyor Jeremy Gloff; a rhythmic yoga routine choreographed and performed by Namaste Yoga Studio; an exclusive performance by the University of Tampa Dancers set against vocals by opera singer Suzanne Alvarez and a runway show featuring the debut collections of two new local designers, J. Alfonso and Melissa Oraath, and ready-to-wear pieces by Tragik Designs. Guests also enjoy tasty eats courtesy of Stonewood Tavern & Grille, The Spaghetti Warehouse, Mema’s Alaskan Tacos and Streetcar Charlie’s Bar & Grille, as well as an art show highlighting more than 85 local artists, with 20 of these to unveil themed works inspired by the subjects of rebirth and re-awakening in the Grand Foyer; a percentage of art-sale proceeds benefits the foundation.
