Ocean Conservancy Beach Cleanup- Saturday, June 5; 9 am-12:30 pm. In an effort to respond to the BP oil spill disaster we will be conducting more frequent shoreline clean ups in the Pinellas and Manatee County areas. In fact, Ocean Conservancy will be partnering with Defenders of Wildlife this Saturday, June 5 in an effort to remove debris from our shorelines before it becomes hazardous to our wildlife, if or when the oil hits our shorelines. Bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and wear closed toed shoes. Water, coffee, snacks, and gloves will be provided. North Skyway Rest area (under the last pavilion on the West side of I-275).
