A little piece of Parrothead history may have a new owner.

Located at 138 Root Trl. in Palm Beach, the historic bungalow was built in 1925 and is owned by the estate of the late musician and billionaire king of Margaritaville Jimmy Buffett.

According to property records, Buffett purchased the property through an LLC in 2002 for $802,000. The home is just one of a handful of Florida properties owned by “Bubba,” but it might be one of his smallest.

With just 1,523-square-feet of living space, the home sits about a block from the Atlantic Ocean and comes with a total of three bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as Dade County pine floors, a tropical patio with outdoor showers, and a detached music studio.

This little cheeseburger in paradise comes with a big price tag. Buffett’s bungalow hit the market in July with an asking price of $7.25 million, which is about a 804% increase from when he first bought it.

The home’s price tag hasn’t changed since, and now an offer is currently “pending,” according to Zillow. As of today, it’s unclear who the buyer is, but if the deal goes through, the final sale price and other details will be public in a couple months.

The listing agent is Blake Anderson Hanley of Brown Harris Stevens of Palm Beach.

In September of 2023, Buffett passed away at the age of 76 due to complications with skin cancer.

Known for his self-described “drunken Caribbean rock ‘n’ roll,” Buffett is considered to be one of the highest selling music artists of all time, with over 20 million certified records worldwide. Last April, Buffett was chosen to be posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the Musical Excellence category in 2024.
