Mitch Perry Report 5.23.12 -Friendship Trail Bridge advocates take a blow

It shouldn't be fatal, but the folks who are trying to make sure that the Friendship Trail Bridge isn't razed didn't get any favors from the Pinellas County Commission, who voted yesterday to reject the new plan put together by its advocates, instead sending money to Hillsborough County to tear it down.

On Monday, HART CFO Jeff Seward delivered a presentation on alternative ways for the Hillsborough County transit agency to raise revenues, as it serves more customers every months with reduced resources.

Hate Super PACS? One group of men (are there any women?) who don't are the folks who run local television stations. But now they're suing because the FCC is requiring them to place online who are buying ads on their stations and for what price.

And Tampa is number one again in a dubious ranking - this time having the worst increase in traffic congestion last year - but it's not all horrible if you read deeper.
