National Hot Dog Day marred by arrest of National Pork Producers Council president

Hey, it's National Hot Dog Day! While you're slurping up some heavily topped and flavored lips and anuses from a capsule of bleached and processed flour, give up a little sympathy for National Pork Producers Council president Ronald William Prestage.

Prestage, president of North Carolina's Prestage Farms and quite the bigwig in agribusiness circles, was arrested today trying to enter "a business building on Capitol grounds" in Washington, D.C. while carrying his unlicensed handgun. Prestage was heading for a meeting with South Carolina congressman Rep. Jeff Duncan when he was apprehended — Prestage is a resident of Camden, SC.
