St. Petersburg’s Conference on World Affairs was launched in 2013 and is now an annual flagship event in the city. The Conference continues to embrace its local origins by asking volunteers and area residents suggest topics, sponsor and organize events, recruit, and in some cases, house and transport speakers.
Those interested in volunteering can sign-up at the conference’s volunteer page. The 2021 Conference, focused on the pandemic and the Biden Administration’s foreign policy directions and was held entirely online due to COVID restrictions. It drew around 5,000 viewers, the majority from the Tampa Bay area.
