Jared Cano, the 17-year-old charged with attempting to blow up Freedom High School, from which he was ejected last year, apparently was one bored-ass teenager. Tampa police said today that when the youth was arrested, he said he intended to use a bomb to kill people at the school that had expelled him.
Cano was in court this morning, where he faced charges of possessing bomb-making materials, cultivating marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and threatening to throw, project, place or discharge a destructive device.
On Cano's Facebook page on Sunday night, Cano wrote, "My life stays on repeat it's gettin' old."
Other comments on his own page include numerous references to getting high on pot and drinking Olde English 800 malt liquor.
