Tampa's home prices continue to skyrocket.
A new
report from real estate listing site Realtor.com shows that Tampa’s median home listing prices grew by 32% in March, placing the area's median listing price at $399,000.
Additionally, it states that the median price per square foot rose 29.5%.
Tampa's current price spike ranked third in the whole country, preceded only by Miami (37%) and Las Vegas (35.2%).
A few other cities in Florida also saw a significant increase in listing prices—Orlando grew 27.9% and Jacksonville grew 21.5%.
This study comes just days after the release of the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price NSA Index report, which found that over the last year,
Tampa witnessed the nation's second largest increase in home prices.
These numbers also reflect the data on a recent
study by Redfin, a Seattle-based real estate brokerage, which found that Tampa is the third city in the country where the most people are moving to. The report found that in the first two months of 2022, the net inflow of users was 9,052 – an increase from 2021’s 6,003.
That study also identifies
Orlando as one of the top origins people were moving from.
