TED for teens: Highlights from the TEDx Youth Tampa Bay event (videos)

Dan Cannon, Florida Organizer for Southern Energy Networking, talks about building and supporting the youth climate movement in Florida.

These were the ones that struck out to me the most! My most memorable talk was Steve Turner's talk about Community and communication to prevent bullies at school.

But this was my absolute favorite segement: Mike Imbasciani, 13 year old blues guitarist - "The Blues seem to be a natural part of me just waiting to get out every time I pick up my guitar."

I had the awesome opportunity of a lifetime to do a TEDx Youth Tampa Bay talk at the New Port Richey on November 20th (video below).

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.

Joe Scarfone is a long time youth activism advocate, the voice behind Joe Unfiltered which seeks to further engage youth activists around the country, and is the creator of the Youth Activism Facebook Page and Youth Activism Twitter Page.
