According to the White House, Pence will make three stops in Tampa Bay, starting with a visit to a women’s healthcare clinic this afternoon to participate in a roundtable on the Trump administration’s support for the “Right to Life,” which we probably assure is code for an anti-abortion workshop.
The Vice President will then speak at Largo’s Starkey Road Baptist Church to “showcase the Trump administration’s continued efforts to support religious freedom and every American’s right to worship,” reads a press release.
Lastly, Pence will head to the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, at 400 Mandalay Ave. for a ticketed event with supporters.
Pence announced the visit yesterday.
Because Pence’s motorcade will surely clog up a few streets, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office warned that the following roads will be closed during the VP’s visit:
10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Howard Frankland Bridge, Gandy Boulevard-Park Boulevard and 66th Street North
Noon to 2 p.m.: 66th Street North, Bryan Dairy Road, Starkey Road and 86th Avenue North
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Starkey Road, Bryan Dairy Road, U.S. 19, State Road 60 from U.S. 19 to Mandalay Avenue on Clearwater Beach
3 p.m. to 5 p.m.: State Road 60 from Clearwater Beach to Tampa International Airport
