One of the largest homes on a small private island in Florida is now on the market.
Located at 1 Grant Is, the 4,591-square-foot home sits on Grant Island, also known as Grand Farm Island or VIP (Vacation Island Playground) Island.
The 50-acre island is accessible only by boat or helicopter, and is just a five-minute boat ride from the mainland fishing town of Grant in Brevard County. The island was originally used for farming until the north half was developed and marketed as VIP Island in the 1960s by real estate developer Ronald Rathbun, who sold the lots for "$1,995, or $10 down and $10 a month," reports the TC Palm.
Built in 2020, the four-bedroom, three-bathroom house sits on a double lot and was built with exotic Guyanese hardwood. It also features two docks, a guest cottage and a private helipad.
The asking price is currently $4,499,983, and the listing agent is Marcie Bolt of Engel & Voelkers, Melbourne Beachside.
