St. Petersburg's Allendale Terrace has some of the area's most unique historic homes, and now one of the original properties built by the neighborhood's namesake is on the market.
Located at 955 39th Ave. N, the home was built in 1932 by the late developer Cade B. Allen. A few years earlier, Allen had purchased a large 160-acre citrus grove, called Foster Grove, for $186,000. Between 1922-1954, Allen built around 40 homes for his development that would later be known as the historic Allendale Terrace neighborhood.
Allen died in 1959, but quite a few of his original homes are still around.
This particular Cade Allen home comes with 3,591-square-feet of living space, as well as three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It also features original french doors and wood floors, a chef's kitchen, a master suite with a private portico, a pool and more.
The home is currently asking $1.55 million and the listing agent is Natalie DeVicente of Southern Roots Realty.
