Arlo Guthrie, the folk singer behind hits like "Motorcycle Song" and "Alice's Restaurant" is selling his Florida home for $1.65 million.
Located at 13690 N. Indian River Dr. in Sebastian, the home is actually a rebuilt U.S. Coast Guard station that once sat on the property. We were given several options to bring the structure to code, but they were each economically absurd, said listing agent Janyne Kenworthy to Realtor.com. So, we tore down the original building and replaced it with its copy, but with modern construction materials as of 2010.
The 10,000-square-foot home comes with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, as well as two masters with private decks, a private sand beach on the Indian River Lagoon, a pool, and an additional 2.35-acre parcel to the west that could be used for new units.
