Abortion rights are on the ballot in Florida this November, and there’s a ground movement to get
Amendment 4 across the finish line.
Orlando Weekly says about 2,000 people showed up at Lake Eola last Saturday to support a change to the state constitution that would enshrine a woman’s right to have an abortion up to 24 weeks after becoming pregnant. The initiative needs at least 60% approval to pass, and will be put to voters after an effective
six-week ban on abortions in Florida goes into effect on May 1.
